Moments after Las Vegas regular Lance Bass was declared safe on the semifinals of Dancing With the Stars tonight, he agreed to fly to Vegas to celebrate the arrival of the new 2008 Beaujolais wines from France tomorrow evening. The former member of the multi-platinum pop group ’N Sync also will switch on the red lights of the 50-story Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas.

Information on his visit is developing right now, but it’s expected that he will be accompanied by his professional dance partner, Lacey Schwimmer, and they will be trailed by ABC cameras for footage to be shown on next week’s finals! They are set to arrive late afternoon or early evening tomorrow after another grueling day of DWTS rehearsals.

Jennie Garth turns the Eiffel Tower red in 2007.

A Stars and Stripes Air Tours helicopter will deliver a cask of the 2008 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau wines at 11:45 p.m. tomorrow to the foot of the Eiffel Tower, where Lance will be awaiting it. He will toast the first tasting seconds before midnight with Duboeuf export director and wine connoisseur Yann Bourigault.

Lance will then flip on the switch at the stroke of midnight to light up the Tower in red -- and that will launch the weekend-long Beaujolais Nouveau celebration at the Paris. Expect huge crowds to now turn up late on the Strip to catch a glimpse of the hot dance finalist! He will fly back to Los Angeles early Thursday morning for the final set of dance rehearsals.

The 2008 Beaujolais Nouveau will be released on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 12:01 a.m.

Honoring a long tradition regulated by French law, Beaujolais Nouveau is released no sooner than the third Thursday of November, when it is ready for consumption just six weeks after the harvest. Thus, at one minute past midnight, huge celebrations are held all over the world to taste the latest wine of the harvest. More than 65 million bottles of Beaujolais Nouveau will be consumed in the months to follow.

Vegas DeLuxe will be on hand for the full photo report, which we’ll have here Thursday morning, along with an interview with Lance about the two celebration experiences. We’ll see how nervous he is about next Monday’s epic showdown on Dancing With the Stars!
